The Department of Archeology and Museums of the Dénia City Council, at the same time as the summer campaign Visit the castle at night, has started this July a program of Guided tours of the Castle and the city's museums, which will last until September 15.
The campaign includes a diverse offer that ranges from the classic Know the Castle to the innovative the fortress outside. These activities are accompanied by a series of visits to the city's museums: Archaeological Museum, Ethnological museum, Toy Museum of Dénia and Museum of the Sea.
The set of programmed activities has been the object of an excellent reception, with more than 1.200 participants in this first month. However, the great novelties of the summer have been the I Day of meeting with the stars and the welcome of discover the castle.
Last Monday, July 24, the top of the Castle witnessed a meeting with the stars, an activity that obtained a maximum reception from the public. The activity was based on the visualization of the night sky of Dénia, the sky of our ancestors, in harmony with mythology, by the hand of an astronomer and an expert in iconography.
The other novelty has been the development of a program of guided visits to the Castle in English, Discover the castle, developed from Monday to Friday at 11:00 a.m., which has brought together audiences of more than 10 nationalities and has enjoyed a good reception.
The Department of Archeology and Museums reminds us that the usual programming continues until September 15, with no additional entry cost.
