In the Marineta Beach Cassiana, it takes two years Posidonia leaving a barrier that prevents sand loss. After the storm of January, it was raised to keep the Posidonia barrier until March 31, instead of until February 28 as the previous year.

The results have been more positive with increasing beach from the lows of the year 2005, which were about 20 meters wide dry beach, near 30 the current meters.

Since late February the Mayor of Dénia met, Vicent GrimaltAnd the Councilor for Environment and Climate Change, Josep Crespo, with the provincial chief of Coasts, Rosa de los Ríos, the commitments acquired there by the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, Food and Environment have been activated.

On the beach of Almadrava, Costas has withdrawn the accumulated temporary reeds. Deveses, acting consists of two phases. The first, already completed, consisted of the transfer of sand from north to south beach. After the Easter will be held a second phase consisting of the transport of foreign sand the same quality as the existing beach.

In the Blay Beach area of the beach of Marines it will also act in two phases. The first, already executed, has involved the transfer of some 8.000 cubic meters of surplus from Molins beach and its storage in a warehouse in an area agreed with the city council.

The second part of the work will take place in May and will consist of pouring the sand into the sea to ensure public use of the beach throughout the summer. If sand sea directly be produced, the beach would be lost before the summer. Therefore it was decided to first collection and in May just have to act in Blay Beach performing pouring sand into the sea.

However, it has emerged minimal passing through the area so that users can stroll, which until a month ago was impossible because the sea came to the walls of buildings.

Dénia will have available for the public to enjoy all beaches during Holy Week, except the auction of the works in Deveses Beach and Blay, for operational reasons, will not end until May.
