Students who enroll from next year for the first time in a school should adhere again to the centers due to them according to their area of residence, as occurred almost a decade ago. This was decided by the School Consell Municipal held in Dénia on Wednesday night, which agreed educational zoning from next year, and abide the decision of the Consell Valencià applicable to cities with 10 or more schools (Dénia has 10 now).
Thus, the city is divided into two areas: Marina and Rotas, whose separation would mark the Calle Marques de Campo. The Marist, Cervantes and Montgó schools correspond to the Marinas area, while the rest of the centers correspond to the Rotas area (which includes the Montgó homes). In the event that the requested center exceeds the supply of existing places, other criteria will be applied, such as address, siblings, income and large family.
The vote was held on this issue in the Consell resulted in seven votes in favor, four against and two abstentions (the mayor Vicent Grimalt and the Councilor for Education, Rafa Carrió), Which the proposal goes ahead and will be forwarded along the demarcation zone, to the Ministry of Education. This body will be responsible for establishing the baremación zones.
