Dénia will implement refrigerated ticket offices in the Municipal Market

The Next Generation EU funds in terms of trade have been one of the main points discussed in the plenary session of the Municipal Trade Council of the city of Dénia. The grant obtained is €1.458.022,40 euros, which the Dénia Town Hall will invest in different projects aimed at transforming the city's retail sector.

The Councilor for Commerce, Sandra Gertrúdix, explained to the plenary session the planned actions, which include the installation of integrated digital signage, with the installation of tactile billboards at strategic points in the city -car park exit and Tram station, for example- that They will have a search engine for businesses and information on the municipality. It is also contemplated to enable an intelligence system of the urban commercial area, Smart Commerce Dénia, which allows, through an application, to offer complete information on the city and the commercial sector, in addition to offering the opportunity to associations to publicize their bells; and the installation of intelligent signage that will make it possible to locate free parking spaces.

Two other actions that will be carried out will be the provision of refrigerated ticket offices in the Municipal Market, which allow online purchases to be made and collected at any time at the ticket offices by means of an access code, and the implementation of a replacement program of plastic bags for cloth bags in shops.

The Next Generation EU funds will also make it possible to develop a tool to support entrepreneurship through which it will be possible to analyze the suitability of the location depending on the type of business that is to be established and the start of the project of an experimental agricultural park located in a agricultural area of ​​35.000 square meters of municipal ownership.

Hiring of different projects

Sandra Gertrúdix also gave an account of the results of the three Consumer Bond campaigns carried out in 2022. A progressive increase in the number of participating businesses stands out, which rose from the initial 38 (September 2022) to 87 adhered to the campaign Christmas December, which reflects, in the councilor's opinion, "the positive experience of participating businesses." The Alicante Provincial Council has contributed to financing two of the 2022 consumer bond launches (in September and December) with an aid of 192.443 euros and the Dénia Town Hall assumed the cost of the third, organized in November last year, with a budget of 123.790 euros.

In response to the interest of the attendees, the Councilor for Commerce indicated that in none of the campaigns the allocated budget was exhausted and announced that for those planned in 2023 an expiration date for the bonds will be set, prior to the completion date. of each campaign, in order to be able to issue more bonds with the remainder and that no money is left unspent.

Likewise, it announced that the dynamics of obtaining bonuses will be similar to that of the Christmas 2022 campaign: the download of bonuses will be free, without the consumer having to make a prior payment of the ones they want. However, the buyer will acquire the obligation to make a purchase worth double or more than the amount of the voucher that is going to be exchanged in the store.

Sandra Gertrúdix announced that three consumer bond campaigns are planned for 2023 to be developed with a subsidy from the Alicante Provincial Council of 429.323 euros. The planned dates are from June 1 to 20, from October 23 to November 10 and from December 1 to 20.

The members of the Consell also learned about the calendar of events for 2023, which provides for commercial revitalization activities during all the months of the year, except for March and August.

Finally, in the question and answer section, the mayor intervened, Vicent Grimalt, to explain to the interested parties that the works to improve the pavement of the Calle Marques de Campo They have started in the part closest to Calle Diana "because the winning bidder has considered it more operational to have that area finished by Easter." The mayor also assured that the deadlines for the execution of these works will be less than the initial ones foreseen and accepted the request of the attendees that any changes that may arise be communicated to those affected sufficiently in advance so that they can plan.
