The 3 of October celebrates World Bird Day, and from the Department of Environment of the City of Dénia have organized, in collaboration with the environmental company Magic & Nature and Interpreta Natura, a free ornithological day.
Activity, which aims "educate and raise awareness from an early age about the importance of bird protection for the preservation of the ecosystem", According to the councilman Josep Crespo, will be held on Sunday 2 October.
The day will begin at 10:30 am with workshops for children in the Interpretation Center of the Natural Park Montgó. The activity will include the construction of nest boxes, bird feeders and a scientific ringing of birds as a family by Francisco Atiénzar, Doctor in Biological Sciences, professor at the UNED and an expert ornithologist. The morning program will end at around 13.30:XNUMX pm with a picnic for those attending.
Afternoon activity will move to the Marjal Pego-Oliva, with a path of environmental interpretation and a new action bird ringing family. In the 16.30 hours leave the bus to Pego from the esplanade of Torrecremada. The activity also end with a picnic on 20 hours.
