With a budget cut of around 40.000 euros, the department of the municipality of Dénia parties, headed by Paco Arnau, has made a festival program elders of Dénia "attractive to all audiences" in which "the resources have been taken full advantage because the people deserve a party", according to the councilman.
The big week of Dénia parties will begin on Saturday, July 6 with the traditional and massive entrance of the bulls, which will bring together thousands of people in the Calle Marques de Campo to celebrate the beginning of the party. During the week the days of the peñas, the fallero, the big day, the Santísima Sangre, the day of the elders and the day of the fifths will be celebrated, and the final climax will be the parade of floats Saturday the 13th and the end of the party on Sunday the 14th with the fireworks from the pyrotechnics caballer.
This year acts of the festival will focus on four sites: in Calle La Vía tendrán lugar las actuaciones más culturales, que van desde danza a teatro, zarzuela o el concierto de la Agrupación Artística Musical. He Mollet d'Espanya area will be to encourage the festive night with performances of Syberia and Scream orchestras and different disc jockey. Two other orchestras, Euphoria and Montecarlo, act in Calle Marques de Campo. Finally, the Calle La Mar and Plaza del Consell will host children's activities, bouncy castles, water activities and snacks for the little ones.
20 years of National Tourist Interest
The main novelty this year is the celebration of 20 years of the denomination of Festival of National Tourist Interest of the Bous a la Mar, for which an exhibition of the farms that participate every day in the shows of the square has been organized.
Organized by neighboring Rossa Bertomeu, this exhibition will award livestock to bring the best bulls during the festival week. The winner 300 euros and a plaque, and the other participants, cash awards that will be around 150 euros will be.
