La Cultural Commonwealth of the Marina Alta and xarxa Jove they have asked the town councils of the region to create Youth Councils, in case they do not have it, and that they extend it to the field of childhood.
Taking advantage of the fact that local governments are being created at the moment, both associations have made clear the importance of including children in the political agenda in a letter sent to the consistories. In it they demand that they use the articles treated in the Convention on the Rights of the Child as a reference when carrying out the policies of that area.
José Ramiro, President of the Xarxa Jove Marina Alta, assures that "The creation of these councils, and the creation of local Childhood and Youth Councils, are the fundamental basis for promoting the active participation and community development of each municipality".
