They repair the railing in Ronda de les Muralles de Dénia due to damage caused by dog urine

08 2024 April - 12: 50

The Dénia City Council has reported that last week the work began to replace 36 meters of railing in Ronda de les Muralles, which had to be repaired due to the serious damage caused by dog urine at a cost of 5.500 euros .

The City Council wanted to remember that the Municipal Ordinance of Citizen Coexistence imposes up to 750 euros in fines, not only if the Police see that the owners do not clean up the urine, but also if they see them walking the dog without carrying the water bottle behind them.

Recently the city council has launched a new campaign to inform and raise awareness about this problem.

  1. Paco says:

That being said, bitches don't piss on railings or streetlights or poles. Only dogs that raise their paws!! Where is Dog Feminism here? It is unfair to the owners of the females. I request positive discrimination.

  2. Juan Carlos says:

I don't think it's just because of the dogs. This does not justify dog owners not complying with the regulations of pouring water when they urinate.
It would be nice if they complied with the municipal regulations.

  3. Miranda galilei says:

Totally unnecessary to name dogs as causes of metal rust. Denia has a lot of humidity, and deterioration due to rust can also be caused by the environment itself, in addition to dog urine. It was better that we thought about improving internal and external transportation in Denia, and not about 5000 euros to fix a fence. Gentlemen of the municipal corporation: think about what is important in internal communication, and in communication with the outside and stop throwing the ball around. The dogs (and above all, those who care for the blind) do their job much better than many who charge those €5000, without deserving it.

  4. Joseph says:

A shame when dog urine is to blame for the deterioration of railings, sidewalks and streets because the necessary maintenance is lacking. There are too many dogs that are not cared for properly, that's true. It is true that dog owners are obliged to maintain order. But things don't get better with buses. This will not fill the numerous gaps that exist in certain streets of Dénia.
