Information on addiction prevention reached nearly half a thousand young people at parties

As is customary every year in the summer, the Department of Social Welfare, through the Unit for Community Prevention of Addictive Behaviors (UPCCA), carried out during the Festival of Dénia three campaigns aimed at the youth population.

This year the campaigns focused on two scenarios: the youth leisure area of ​​the La Guitarra car park (9 and 16 in July), where the NGO Club controls launched the campaign If you spend you miss; and during the Night of Rock in Valencian that took place the 15 of July in the esplanade of Torrecremada, where personnel of the UPPCA was in charge of taking the campaign Babies? Measure it!. In total, they approached the information stand of the 417 youth campaign.

The objective of both campaigns is to offer clear, objective and realistic information about the use / abuse of substances and especially alcohol, demystify myths and erroneous beliefs and reach young people with realistic messages, reduce the risks associated with consumption and encourage behaviors healthy, responsible and common sense in their decisions.

Parallel to these actions, the past 26 of June the campaign was launched Discosana in which 26 collaborates local nightlife in the city. The campaign, which will run throughout the summer, aims to contribute to reducing the risks associated with the consumption of substances in nightlife by distributing information material available to customers.
