The local executive of PSPV met yesterday to take stock of the management of the local government during 2020. Vicent Grimalt, Mayor and Secretary General of the PSPV-PSOE of Dénia stressed that “2020 has been a year of many unforeseen events, but we have never stopped following the roadmap. A roadmap has allowed us to manage these contingencies. "

Grimalt has pointed out that “Despite all the difficulties, we continue working on the roadmap of our government program. A government program that gives continuity to the policies that we implemented from 2015-2019: recovery of public spaces, more social policies, more participation, transparency and good governance, a clear commitment to a new economic and social model, the improvement and planning of the policies of economic and tourist promotion, regarding the environment and the protection of the landscape, etc. "

The members of the local executive are aware that 3/8 of our mandate of this legislature has already passed and our policies and actions are on track, since the final objective is that by 2023 each and every one of the points of our government program.

The meeting reviewed the main points of the government program that are currently underway:

• Continue to improve the city and its spaces: Once the work on the redevelopment of the San Juan road has been completed, the orbs for the redevelopment of Calle Mayor, Pare Pere and Plaza del Oeste have begun, we have requested the planning of the Provincial Council to redevelop the street Cop, Ramón y Cajal, Glorieta and the modernization of the Calle Marques de Campo.

• More parking: We maintain 3000 parking spaces in summer. Bought a plot of the old miniature golf to have a parking bag at the end of the Las Eructas road. Campaign for car parks and merchants.

• The creation of the UA Campus: Approval in June 2020 of a new agreement with the UA and the signing of a protocol with the Generalitat for the rehabilitation of the Torrecremada house

• I 2020 Municipal Occupancy Plan with a budget of 300.000 euros and the hiring of 22 people.

• Follow the processing of Edificant projects

• We are executing the III Equality and Diversity Plan.

• Plan to eliminate the architectural barrier of the train: In September 2020, work began on the Dénia-Gata Section that will carry out new access rounds from the town to Montgó in the municipality of Dénia with a budget of more than 30 million euros.

• Sports center improvement plan: Completion of the works of the old pavilion, remodeling of the athletics track and change of lawn of the Field Diego Mena.

• Improvements in House of Culture: Open the Castejón space and very soon the Chirbes reading agency on the second floor and children's library.

• Smart tourism destination strategic plan: The diagnosis prior to the drafting of the smart tourism destination plan has been completed.

• The old premises of the official language school will house the new gender violence court in half of the facilities, the other half will be the headquarters of the language school in the morning.

• Beginning of the procedures for the transfer of part of the plot on Avenida Miguel Hernández as a future police station and procedures for the transfer of the plot for the expansion of the Palau de Justicia.

• 10% increase in the home help service.

• In process the urban public transport.

• The tender for the garbage and street cleaning documents is in process.

• We have reactivated the Youth Council and created the childhood council.

• We have increased participatory budgeting by 25% and we have changed the system for choosing projects.

• Completion of the works on Verger Alt.

• Completion of the works on the Casa Marquesa Valero de Palma.

The secretary general thanked the executive meeting for the work that all councilors are doing to achieve the socialist objectives despite the great difficulties that have been suffered this year.
