What filaes make up the Moorish side of the Moors and Christians of Dénia?

The Moorish side of the Moors and Christians festivities in Dénia is made up of eight rows, three of them women. They are exactly half of those who participate in the Dianense festivities, considered one of the most important in the city and which has achieved the distinction of Festival of Autonomous Tourist Interest.

Filà Abencerrages

Founded in 2006, the filà Abencerrajes is one of the youngest of the Moors and Christians festivals in Dénia. Belonging to the Moorish side, this row has around 25 festeros on its lists that stand out for their red baggy pants, their white shirt and their black vest with golden letters.

Filà Alkamar

In 1999, some women from Dénia made history by forming the first filà of the Moorish band of women: the filà Alkamar. The half-moon girls stand out for their maroon djellaba with embroidered silver moons. In total, 33 women of all ages form this group.

Filà Almorávides

The Almorávides filà is one of the founders of the Moors and Christians festival in Dénia. She belongs to the Moorish side, and currently her ranks are made up of twenty festeros whose official clothing is perhaps the most colorful with their black and white vertical striped pants, yellow shirt, purple sash and green vest.

Filà Amazigh

The Amazigh filà is a filà of women belonging to the Moorish side formed in 2005, when a group of friends was encouraged to create their own formation to participate in the Moors and Christians festivals of Dénia, becoming the second filà of women of the Moorish side and the third to join the party.

Filà Amiries

The filà Amiries, belonging to the Moorish side of the Dénia Moors and Christians festivities, was founded, along with the festival, in 1980. It is one of the veteran ranks that in 2013, and after an intense year of captaincy , decided to take a break and asked for a leave of absence from the party. In 2014 they took their place again with a fortnight of festeros.

Filà berebers-Tuaregs

In 2004 the Tuaregs filà was created in Dénia and a year later the Berbers filà was born, both on the Moorish side. After two years of independence, the components of both filaes observed that there were many things in common that they shared, so they decided to join forces to create a single, larger and more powerful filà, which would enrich the festival of the Moors and Christians in Denia.

Filà Barbary Pirates

In the year 2011, and defying a particularly critical moment in the economy, a group of Dianense women was encouraged to create what would be the sixteenth filà of the Moors and Christians festivals in Dénia: the Berber Pirates filà, belonging to the Moorish side .

Filà walies

The Walies filà, belonging to the Moorish side of Dénia's Moors and Christians festivities, was one of the founders in 1980. Its members wear a djellaba with gold, orange and black stripes, a hanging filà coat of arms and a black bonnet. Currently, it is made up of around thirty festeros.
