The week begins in Dénia with several roads cut by the rain

07 March 2022 - 07: 52

We left a very rainy weekend, although the rainfall does not end there. Throughout the early hours of Monday the water has continued to fall in large quantities, which has affected the roads of Dénia.

As notified by the City Council, early this Monday there are already five roads closed to traffic. These, which are flooded by rain, are: Riu Alberca pass, Camí la Bota, Camí Fondo, Marineta Cassiana and walked the Llavador.

After noon, both the Marineta Cassiana and the Camí de la Bota have been reopened to traffic.

What a novelty! Cami de Llavador flooded ???
I have been denouncing him for 15 years that he bought a house there... but the City Council continues to 'brag' about how well the city center is looking !!!

It has happened with City Councils of different political color…and that's fine…Are they going to solve the issue? Does a serious incident have to happen for them to notice?

That area always floods it's a shame and we don't have a sidewalk to walk on and I've been paying taxes for 16 years

  3. Pablo says:

Pablo in Spanish please….although I have already learned how to say “inept” in German hahaha…The sewage system, services and infrastructure is a problem that we have been dragging since the beginning of tourist development. Build and build without provision of services. Many promoters, the first ones to be more exact, were German foreigners and never built the adequate infrastructures. In the sun it never rains and in Spain they let you do what you want with the right contacts and a generous wallet.

Dann bleib doch einfach in Deutschland, Alter

Or when “post covid” tourists discover that it also rains in Spain, it has winter, Spaniards have a life, they work and their children go to school. Besides that they live in Denia and that it is not the summer theme park set up just for them to walk around as if they were the owners of everything shouting: I have paid to come here!
