A las 19:30 horas de la tarde se declaraba controlado el incendio de La Xara, en la zona de la Punta de Benimaquia. Finalmente han ardido 0’93 hectáreas de matojo, 0’6 de las cuales pertenecen al Natural Park Montgó. The smoke generated forced the users of the La Xara Day Center to be confined during the extinction work, as well as the residents of several houses.
The warning arrived after the 14: 00 hours of a very hot and windy Monday. The 112 mobilized four aerial means, three units of forest firemen, three fire engines, a coordinating foreman and a surveillance unit.
