The councilor of beaches in the City of Dénia, Óscar Mengual, collected this Wednesday in Castellón the four blue flags that the city has revalidated this year, for the beaches The Bovetes, Marines, Molins and Punta Raset. Also the Real Club Náutico of the city has this recognition.
The event, chaired by the Minister of Agriculture, Environment, Climate Change and Rural Development, Elena Cebrián, gathered representatives of all municipalities awarded with this recognition.
Cebrián pointed out that «este galardón tiene como objetivo un cambio de actitudes y comportamientos cívico-ambientales y pone de relevancia la calidad de las aguas y la calidad de nuestro mar». The Comunitat Valenciana has obtained a total of 146 blue flags this year, that is, one in five granted to the Spanish State. This badge awarded by the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE), in Spain through ADEAC identifies beaches and marinas with high environmental quality and good services and safety for users.
