The Dénia City Council is working these days on the conditioning of an abandoned plot involved in controversy, to turn it into a public parking and free that adds to the wide offer of the city. It will be located in the first stretch of Marines, giving a new use to a field that only accumulated dirt.
How to Live Aligned with reported this newspaper a few months ago, the Brisas de Dénia 1 urbanization, in which 70 families live, was for years asking the City Council to take over the plot next to which they lived. Formerly it belonged to the El Yate restaurant, but after years of neglect it became a pasture for rodents, insects, weeds and garbage.
Now, after more than 15 years claiming it, the council has managed to contact the owner of this plot located on Calle Donzella and cleaning work has already begun on it. The image that it gives today has little to do, in fact, with that of a few weeks ago. The idea is to turn it into a free public car park that will come into operation in the coming months.
They have cut brush but have not cleaned it. It's still littered with broken televisions and glass, as are the fallen walls, not to mention the sidewalks...
