Today Wednesday, 5 in June, Dénia will host the I Meeting on reality and future of the University of Alicante in the Marina Alta, in which the Social Council of the University of Alicante will meet, which will include the intervention of the President of the Generalitat, Ximo Puig, the rector of the University of Alicante, Manuel Palomar, and the president of the Social Council of the University of Alicante, Adolfo Utor.
The act, which will be held at the 12: 00 hours in the Room Jauja de Baleària Port (The Harbour District), is the first of the Meetings-Headquarters of the Social Council, with which the University of Alicante intends to reinforce the much-needed dialogue between the University, companies and social agents and strengthen the capacity of the academic institution in the province of Alicante.
This starting point will analyze the Reality and future of the University of Alicante in the Marina Alta, in an act that will address the role of the council as "catalyst that unites the University, seat of knowledge, with society", through patronage, successful projects and alliances such as Gasterra UA and Carmencita Chair, as well as future projects in the Marina Alta.
Presentations and parliaments
In this sense, the president of Carmencita, Jesús Navarro, will present the case of success of the Carmencita Chair and will talk about the collaboration between university and business. Also in the field of patronage, the territorial director of Cajamar, Manuel Nieto, will intervene to explain the activity of his entity in this field. Both entities have been awarded by the Social Council of the UA, for its institutional chair, in the first case, and for its patronage activity, in the case of Cajamar.
In addition, the general director of Masymas, José Juan Fornés, member of the Board, and business representatives of the Marina Alta, will also speak. Cristina Sellés, president of the Association of Hotel and Tourism Businessmen of Marina Alta (Aehtma) and Sonja Dietz, President of Business Cercle Marina Alta (CEDMA), who also belongs to the Social Council of the University of Alicante.
In the section dedicated to Gasterra, Cristina Figueira, chef of the Restaurant The Xato La Nucia, which has a Michelin star, and Pep Romany, restaurant chef Pont Sec, they will talk about their gastronomic experience with the University of Alicante.
Finally, Manuel Palomar and the mayor of Dénia, Vicent Grimalt, will analyze the future projects of the University of Alicante in the Marina Alta.
The event will be attended by institutional representatives of the University of Alicante, entrepreneurs and professionals to share successful experiences of collaboration with the university and to bet on new synergies.
