Red Cross lifeguard service will perform the monitoring and beaches

The hiring table has decided to grant the Dénia Red Cross the first aid and surveillance service beaches for a period of four years, extendable for one more year.

The offer presented by the Red Cross has obtained, according to Councilor Francisco Signes, the highest overall score, in addition to introducing important and significant improvements with respect to the specification: For example, it extends the hours of service during the mid-season, which will be from 10.30:19.30 to XNUMX:XNUMX, and also increases the staff. For the high season, the Red Cross will also increase the service staff and expand the hours on some of the beaches with the highest influx of visitors. It also offers as an improvement the start-up of the service on the beach Punta del Raset during the low season, allocating five troops for this. With all this, it has planned a staff of 70 real troops for the high season and 17 people for the mid season.

In addition Red Cross provides two more booths than those required in the sheet, five proximity chairs, a boat and four vehicles (two quads, a vehicle to transport the disabled and an SUV).

Among the improvements in service he has offered a field hospital two defibrillators, an amphibious chair, two bicycles, a workshop of awareness and updated the status of the beaches via Internet information.

The service has been granted for a total annual amount of 477.255'51 euros.
