A high-end vehicle that circulated on Sunday morning at the height of the 627 km of the AP7 towards Alicante began to burn, for reasons that are unknown. Fortunately, the driver was able to bring the car to the shoulder and leave without damage.
The flames scorched the vehicle and reached a forest area adjoining the highway, finishing with an area of 200 square meters. Up to the place troops of the Provincial Fire Consortium were transferred, who managed to put out the flames of both the vehicle and the affected pine forest.
Until the 12: 00 hours, approximately, the circulation in direction Alicante in the affected section, between Dénia and Benissa, was restricted to a single lane.
Accident in the Serra d'Oltà
During the weekend, the auxiliary fire station of Benissa also had to attend a 24-year-old boy who rushed his vehicle through a 40-meter-high embankment in the Serra d'Oltà, in Calp. After falling down a hillside, the car crashed into the fence of a chalet.
It happened to the 2: 00 in the early morning. The driver of the vehicle had to be released and transported on a stretcher to the ambulance, to be later taken to the hospital by ambulance.
