Juan Lago carries out his musical studies at the Superior Conservatory of Music of Malaga, Sweelinck Conservatorium of Amsterdam, Royal Superior Conservatory of Music of Madrid and Liceo de Barcelona. In addition to Spain, he has performed in France, England, Holland, Czech Republic, Italy, Turkey ... and as a soloist with Orchestras such as Symphony of Cordoba, Community of Madrid, Orchestra of Valencia, Royas State Philarmonic Orchestra of Bacau, Çukurova State Symphony Orchestra ...
His interest in chamber music led him to make several tours by different European countries with musicians like Vasko Vassilev and soloists of the Royal Opera House in London, soloists of the Orchestra of Valencia or the Grup Instrumental de Valencia.
Since 2007 is a regular contributor to the Orchestra of Valencia. In the same year he founded the International Piano Competition Campillos (Málaga), his hometown, which is held annually and is its artistic director. He has been invited to join juries at prestigious international piano competitions as "Composers of Spain" Las Rozas de Madrid, "Pausylipon" Naples, "Arcangelo Sparanza" Taranto or "Città di Cantù", Milan, among others.
