Within the framework of its annual program of cultural activities, the Archeology and Museums area of the Dénia City Council has announced a series of free guided tours for the last weekends of the month of April. These activities aim to bring residents and visitors closer to the city's heritage and historical wealth.
The days Saturday, April 20 and 27, at 11:30 a.m., the visit «Discover» will take place the castle. The Islamic ceramic collection", a tour that will allow participants to learn about the evolution of the castle over time. On this exclusive visit, participants will have access to the winery to appreciate a valuable collection of ceramics dating from the 11th and 12th centuries. The meeting point will be the Dénia castle, in front of the ticket kiosk.
Furthermore, the Sunday, April 21, at 11:30 a.m., the visit will be offered «The Charity of Domingo Llorens. Restoration process» in the Ethnological museum. This activity will provide the opportunity to learn more about the life and work of the Dianense painter, as well as his recently restored work, La Caridad.
Finally, to close the offer of activities for the month of April, on Sunday, April 28 at 12:00 p.m. at noon, at the Dénia Sea Museum there will be an explanatory visit about the convivium or Roman banquet, showing the vasa escaria, the name given in ancient Rome to the set of table utensils, through materials from Dianium.
