Urbanizarte - Art in Dénia

The jury of Joan Castejón, Toni Marí, Teresa Chafer, Pablo Segarra, Nacho Cabrera, Imma Mengual, Alfred Pavia, Juan Diego Llamas, Alicia Ventura and Rosa Doménech, announced the names of new artists Urbanizarte.

Thus, Banek (Peter Botsmann, Mallorca), will speak on the walls of the pits and corridors of Pediatrics Hospital de Dénia; Ondewol (Francisco José Domingo Oller, from Dénia), will act on the façade of the Buigues Opticians, on the corner of Avenida del Montgó and Ramón Ortega; the 400Muralismo collective (Miquel Atutxa and Iciar Nieto, from Getxo), will leave their mark on the Manuel Lattur School of Music; Chapu (José Manuel Rodríguez Trigueros, from Orihuela), will be on Calle Colón, and Lalone (Eduardo Luque, from Málaga), has been assigned a huge wall that can be seen from the road that leads to Dénia from the AP7. Regarding the award for the best local artist, in charge of showing off at the Meeting Point, this year it went to Oskar (Óscar Nebot, from Xàbia).

This year designs positive and ethical themes are sought, emphasizing healthy habits, sustainability, sea and the environment. Artists may use various techniques such as graffiti, stencil, mural painting or mixed media, and can make their interventions both individually and in groups.

Artists will decorate the facades assigned to them during the 21 and 22 June days.
