[VIDEO] A company presents the first floating accommodation in Dénia

La startup Punta de Mar and the Real Club Náutico de Dénia presented the project on Wednesday Punta de Mar, a new business initiative that has designed and developed an innovative concept of floating accommodation, which provides a unique experience of integration with the natural environment. In addition, it represents a type of experiential, disruptive and sustainable tourism.

This project, whose first prototype is located in the Real Club Náutico de Dénia, has been conceived by the architecture team Mano de Santo y KMZero, Open Innovation Hub. As regards its development, the Real Club Náutico de Dénia and leading multinational companies in its field such as Würth, Technal, Simon, Guardian Glass and Gira have also participated.

This room, also called Punta de Mar, consists of a platform over the water with a minimalist design, functional and respectful with the environment. With a total area of ​​74 m2, the pavilion is designed for the enjoyment of two people and is divided into two floors, whose design and equipment is minimalist to achieve a deeper and more authentic connection with the destination in which it is located. The first of them, of surface 40 m2, has a stateroom with bathroom and a private terrace, continuous to the interior space. For its part, the second floor is a Chill-Out deck near 34 m2 that has an area designed for relaxation and comfort of the guests. Both spaces have lighting and piped music, adaptable to the client's taste.

The startup, which plans to start commercializing the floating platforms from 2019, expects to bill one million euros during 2019 and reach the 5 million in the next three years.

The commercialization will be carried out through hotel, resort and marine companies, so that they can offer it as an extra experience to their clients.

In the presentation of the project, the president of the Real Club Náutico de Dénia, Jaime Portolés, Has stated that "Punta de Mar is going to be a pole of attraction for the tourist and innovative sector, which will come to know Punta de Mar, the Royal Yacht Club of Dénia and the city of Dénia. Without a doubt, it becomes a differential element to position Dénia as tourist reference of the Valencian Community and the Mediterranean arch in general ".
