Two vehicles collided in the same place in Dénia this Tuesday, the first at 14:00 p.m. The blow was caused by the presence of a mobile pylon in the middle of the road.
The electronic pylon, located on Sant Josep street, was installed in December 2023 and put into operation in February of this year, with the aim of allowing only residents access to the street, since before the rules were not respected. traffic signs prohibiting it.
In addition to residents, taxi drivers and emergency services also have a command to access the place. As an exception, there is a schedule in which the bollard lowers to allow loading and unloading tasks in the area.
This is a controversial point, since at 17:00 p.m. a van crashed in the same place, but without causing so many damages.
In my humble opinion, it is reckless, the responsibility and costs of the damage must be assumed by whoever ordered the installation of an obstacle that is hidden, on public roads, endangers road safety.
Someone who doesn't know it can pass by and at that moment be climbing the pylon and not see it.
Signs are posted and anyone who does not respect the signs will be fined. There are no moving obstacles. Because if it had been a moped or other two-wheeled motor vehicle, the consequences would go beyond material damage.

There are accidents with the pylon every week. And those who do not have control to lower it take the risk of driving the car along the sidewalk, between the pylon and the wall. Something should be improved.
Maybe if we complied with the rules there wouldn't be a need for a pylon, but since there are a considerable number of people who go through the motions... In any case, there is also a percentage of clueless people who circulate like donkeys with earmuffs.
