January 12 from 2012 - 00: 00

The environmental group Agro-La Marina has issued a statement in which they are against the current route designed for the Gandía-Dénia train, according to them, to violate the PORN (Plan for the Regulation of Natural Disability) and the PRUG (Plan Rector of Use and Management) of the Montgó.

According to statements by Joan Sala, spokesman for the group, a news agency, the logical line would be passed between the AP7 motorway and the N-340 and thus avoid the protected land.

At the end of 2011 few arguments before the Department of Infrastructure and Environment in requesting a modification of the layout to minimize the environmental impact they were presented. Sala, who is skeptical of the project and has reported that there is a study of alternatives that is optimal both itinerary and the location of the station, said that his organization will go to court if finally the work is done and the Natural Park is damaged.
