An announcement by the Generalitat uncovers the short-term plans regarding the curfew

29 March 2021 - 09: 58

The coronavirus has completely changed our lifestyle since March of last year. Our freedoms have been greatly reduced to prevent the pandemic from continuing to add more hospitalized and deceased. It is the last line of defense as long as a large percentage of the population is not immunized, which was expected for the summer in Spain but it seems that it will not arrive so soon due to delays and other problems with vaccination.

A year later, it is normal for citizens to begin to feel a certain wear and tear with the restrictions, although they have been proven to work. Perhaps the one that has most influenced this boredom and that has most affected our way of life is the restriction of night mobility, better known as the curfew. But everything indicates that this restriction has the hours counted, or at least as it is decreed at the moment.

Have already been fulfilled 5 months since we were banned from nightlife. Going out into the street after a certain time can cost you a sanction due to the curfew that was decreed in the Valencian Community on October 24 and that has been hardening. First, mobility was restricted from midnight to 06:00, but from Christmas The curfew comes into effect at 22:00 p.m., which undeniably limits life a lot, especially during the week when the working day occupies a large part of the time in which mobility is allowed.

However, everything indicates that after Easter this measure will be very different, if it does not disappear. At least, this is how it can be seen in a promotional campaign by the Generalitat Valenciana that it has carried out in recent days on its social media profiles. Last Saturday, March 27, they advertised a cultural event consisting of a series of concerts in Valencia that will begin on May 7 and will last until June 4.

What is striking about this announcement is that the concerts begin at 22:00 p.m., the time at which curfew currently begins. As the Consell has refused to create a cultural passport that serves as a safe-conduct for spectators of drive-ins in the Region, as we published last week, this announcement is a clear sign of the intention to remove or change the night mobility restriction. In addition, we are not talking about a slight change, because if the concerts start at 22:00 it is to be assumed that they will last at least one hour, to which if you add the return to the homes of the attendees you must have enough time to avoid breaking the ban.

That is, everything indicates that, if the curfew is extended, it would come into effect at least at midnight as in October and November, at least from the beginning of May. Of course, as long as the incidence of the coronavirus is favorable in the area.

Nonsense this of the measures. They are useless and no more people died than die each year. You journalists are the voice of the abuses of constitutional freedoms. But since you continue with your salary and perhaps they still pay you more, you close your eyes.

It can also happen that they sell the tickets to cancel the concert later and have problems to return the money.
