decreed red alert for snow on the coast of Marina Alta

The cold wave continues to haunt virulently north coast of the province of Alicante. Since last Wednesday at 20: 00 hours and all day on Thursday, is decreed red alert for snow.

According to reports from the State Meteorological Agency, the snow level will initially be located at 300-400 m. It will progressively ascending to around the 800-1000 m at the end of the day. Therefore the biggest snow accumulations will occur in high levels.

The sea will also be enraged. AEMET has declared an orange alert, major risk, coastal phenomena, with waves that could reach 4 meters. Wind gusts will reach a maximum of 70 km / h.

In Dénia, as we reported yesterday, classes are suspended in educational centers, as well as cultural and sports activities scheduled for today.
