31 October 2017 - 18: 57

In order to give visibility to the concerns of the functional diversity group in the Marina Alta, the Rotary Club of Dénia has embarked on an exciting project full of love and enthusiasm. During the last four months, and thanks to the collaboration of fifteen associations from all over the region, they have been preparing a total of seven audiovisual pills that will serve to answer some of the issues that most concern the members of these associations and that rarely they are put on the table.

Functional diversity, family awareness, self-esteem, difficulty in employment, social inclusion, leisure, healthy life and sexuality, and the correct treatment of functional diversity are the seven themes that will shape the documentary Functional Diversity, Works.

Pau Soler, in charge of the documentary, has worked and is still doing it today, with members of different associations to get to know their opinions first hand and to give form to these audiovisual pieces that want to go further. Its objective is to promote a debate forum, focus them propositively and be effective, generating benefits to the functional disability sector.

For his part, Javier Seguí, president of the Rotary Club Dénia, explained that the club, responsible for the production of the piece, has been tremendously involved in the project. The first pills will be presented at the December 21, in the Social Center of Denia, and it is expected that in June all the themes will be finalized and the final documentary will have a form.

In addition, Rotary has already announced that they will propose workshops and roundtables with companies in the region to promote the inclusion of people with functional capacity in the workplace, one of the major obstacles facing the sector.
