REMA signed an agreement with the Spanish Federation of Cystic Fibrosis testing effort

REMA and the Spanish Federation of Cystic Fibrosis sign an agreement that will benefit people who perform sports and want to perform a stress test.

Both companies are concerned about health and the importance of sport in our society, and see the importance of it, getting a good quality of life.

The agreement was signed by Dr. Christopher Meyer, director of the Rehabilitation Center San Carlos Office (REMA) and Aisha Ramos, director of the Spanish Federation of Cystic Fibrosis. And it involves a collaboration for one year, for which REMA will give a 30% discount to people with cystic fibrosis in medical check-ups, with stress tests, carried out at the San Carlos Rehabilitation Center, located in Denia.

Regular physical exercise is very beneficial for people with cystic fibrosis, because by staying fit better withstand the impact of age, have fewer infections and usually have longer, healthier lives. However, REMA and the Federation are aware that there may be a risk in any sport because it can cause if the person does not know his level of physical fitness, may suffer many accidents, mainly heart rate.

It is therefore determined that this agreement, which consist of a cardiac and pulmonary comprehensive assessment. And it will be done under the supervision of a cardiologist specializing in sports medicine, using the latest equipment.
