New shock wave treatment at REMA (Rehabilitation Marina Alta)

February 05 from 2021 - 09: 50

REMA (Rehabilitation Marina Alta) has incorporated a new treatment with shock waves that consists of a therapy based on the application of acoustic pressure waves. This therapy has great advantages, since it is non-invasive and fast.

Shock waves intervene on cells, mobilizing structures, dissolving calcifications and causing tissue regeneration and analgesia, thus avoiding surgical interventions. This will cause an inflammatory response that will later be translated into repair and production of autologous growth factors for the regeneration of damaged tissues.

The patient will be in a comfortable position, and once the shock wave treatment begins, it can be stopped as many times as the patient needs it. The application of the technique is between 2500 and 3000 shots. It is a non-invasive and very safe therapy. Good news that will give patients more possibilities for a quick recovery.
