healthcare professionals from Finland and Portugal visit these days the Hospital de Dénia

Since 2009 the Hospital de Dénia participates in the European program HOPE (European Hospital and Healthcare Federation), an exchange program that enables the center to receive healthcare professionals from across the continent and send their workers to meet hospitals across Europe.

Framed in this program is the visit that these days, and until next 22 of May, the center makes two professionals come from Finland and Portugal. These are Ana Isabel Santos, a researcher at the National School of Public Health in Portugal and Kristina Heikelä, Director of Systems at the Hospital for Joint Replacement Coxa in Tampere, Finland.

For your stay in Denia Hospital has prepared a training itinerary according to their profiles and professional interests. In this case, new technologies (field in which the Hospital de Dénia is pointer) and public health policies that are implanted in Dénia Department of Health will occupy an important role throughout the training period.

Upon learning path joins a cultural and leisure activities for which the Hospital has contacted the departments of tourism and Dénia Xàbia so that professionals know the hospital environment through guided tours.

The Hope Program, organized by the European Federation of Health Systems and Hospitals under the coordination of the Spanish Ministry of Health, establishes different profiles, although it is mainly intended for middle management. The exchange of health management professionals between European countries allows to acquire new experiences, share knowledge and update information and procedures, when establishing a feed-back between visitors and hosts.
