It is more evident than ever that qualification is essential in any type of tourist activity. The continuous training of workers and professionals in the sector is crucial to maintain the competitiveness of companies and destinations, in addition to dignifying the tourism profession.
The human factor is at the center and becomes the true driver of the sector. For this reason, Valencian Community Tourism has set up a network of Training Centers, a pioneer in Spain, which has not stopped growing and offers a personalized learning, adapted to the demands of the labor market and free of charge.
El Tourism Center «Marina Alta» de Dénia is part of this Network of Centers. It is located on Calle Falutx, s/n., in the Las Marinas area, and was inaugurated in 2006. Since then, it has trained prominent professionals in the tourism sector, contributing greatly to consolidating the province of Alicante as a benchmark in Spanish and international gastronomy.
The wide offer of employment in the sector of the hospitality and tourism has led the CdT of Dénia to offer new courses, among which the professional certificates with levels from 1 to 3 stand out. Official titles They are issued by the labor administration and are valid throughout the national territory, in addition to extending their recognition to the European Union by obtaining the "Europass Supplement".
Enrollments for professional certificate courses beginning on or after September from 2023 they are already open. Featured Level 2 courses include "Kitchen", with a duration of 810 hours, "Cake shop", with a duration of 500 hours, and "Restaurant services", with a duration of 580 hours.
The variety and possibilities of courses is increasing and continues to grow year after year. In this second semester of 2023, it is offered again online training y blended, aimed at professionals in the sector. In addition, with the aim of facilitating the integration of the Ukrainian population in the Community, online Spanish and Food Handler courses are offered.
