Ecovidrio, the non-profit entity responsible for managing the recycling of glass packaging waste in Spain, delivered its green flags yesterday. It is a badge granted to those municipalities with a great commitment to glass recycling and whose figures highlight this work.
On this occasion, the green flags have gone to Benidorm and Dénia. The capital of the Marina Alta has obtained the second position of the Valencian Community in this competition promoted by Ecovidrio.
Hoteliers, citizens and the town hall itself have managed to have 682.296 kilograms of glass collected in Dénia during the summer, which represents an increase of 2% compared to last year. Maite Pérez Conejero, Councilor for Ecological Transition, was in charge of collecting the distinction from the hands of the Minister Mireia Mollà.
