Once again this year, the association against gender violence Matria, located in Dénia, opens its literary contest "MATRIA, for gender equality", its seventh edition. The initiative takes place within the framework of events for International Book Day, April 23.
The theme of the works presented will be gender equality and can be written in both Spanish and Valencian with a maximum length of 500 words. Any person who wishes can enter the contest with original and unpublished texts, not published or previously awarded or pending failure in other contests or response in an editorial process.
The stories can be submitted until June 2 and their delivery will be made on paper to the Associations Headquarters at Carrer de Campo Torres, 13 (03700, Dénia), with the sender «For the seventh literary contest 'Matria, for Equality of Gender' 2024». If it is done online, it must be sent to the address associaciomatria@gmail.com with the subject 'Matria, for Gender Equality 2024'.
The awards ceremony will take place on June 14 at the Dénia Library. There will be two awards: the first, only for authors, will be a meal for two people at the Escondida restaurant and a summer course at UNED for more than 100 euros. The second prize will consist of a round trip to the Balearic Islands from Dénia and another course for the same value.
