A group of volunteers from Sustainable Culture Dénia dedicated Saturday to filling several bags with all the garbage they found on the beach Punta del Raset. Piles of cigarette butts, cans and other debris came out from among the rocks and bushes, left behind by the incivism of those who did not want to enjoy the coastline without dirtying themselves.
Fishing garbage, bottle, cigarette butts, potato bags, masks, plastic and glass bottles, soda cans, broken glass, pet droppings, and syringes. They were found on the beach closest to the city, which during the weekends, with the high temperatures that already announced summer, are filled with bathers.
"We are not able to see that and do nothing, because we live in Dénia we like to enjoy beaches clean, "they point out from the platform. Three volunteers went to Punta del Raset on Saturday morning in order to clean everything they found with the help of a beach cleaning worker who joined them.
From the platform they ask for more surveillance on the beaches, especially on weekends. "Now this beach is clean, tomorrow ...".
