«Neither submissive nor silent: Strong Empowered Woman», the cry of the students of the IES Number 3 on Women's Day

Around 200 people have gathered this Friday, March 8, in the Plaza de la Constitución in Dénia, at the gates of the City Hall, to shout for gender equality and support the struggle of women.

The call, organized by the student union of IES Number 3, began after 11:00 am with the reading of a manifesto by two students from the center that drew applause from their classmates. Next, the Muixeranga of the Marina Alta she has created several figures that culminated with a feminist message.

Then the microphone was opened to give voice to those who wanted to transmit a message, which have mostly been poems and texts that extolled the struggle of women.

The event has been joined by representatives of the UGT and CCOO trade unions with banners and flags, a fact that has raised some discomfort on the part of the organization, which have considered that "It was not a day to show off those banners".
