Just three months to complete their first year of life, the Mercat del Riu Rau Jesus Pobre has gone a step further and is incorporated as an association.
It was last week when the assembly formed by the 19 founding partners of this project and the new members, unanimously approved the proposal of the statutes of the new entity and the internal rules of the market.
At that meeting the board for the next two years, which will be chaired by Carles Hostalet with MªRosa Costa as a secretary, Joan Fornés as treasurer and 15 vowels, five for each sector represented in the market (furtas and vegetables also elegió, elaborate and crafts) products.
The first decision to make is which month is changed from time holding market tomorrow afternoon, a market that meets every Sunday at the Gran Riu Rau Benissadeví farmers, producers and artisans of the region, as well as a growing number visitors.
Since this initiative was born in July 2013 by Andreu Costa and Xavier Mulet, this market has become a regional benchmark in which to meet the tradition and history of the Marina Alta.
