Month-Compromís has organized the conference in Dénia Europeïtza't: Parlem of democratic reform in Europe within a cycle of conferences aimed at addressing key issues in Europe, while at the same time committed to internationalist and solidarity politics.

The third of the conferences will be held on Thursday, November 23 at 19:00 p.m. in the Conference Room of the House of Culture of Dénia, and seeks to address the issue of the EU's democratic deficit and promote its consolidation as a cohesive political project on the world stage. The talk, which is part of the Valencian education's commitment to building a more just and participatory Europe, highlights the importance of overcoming the challenges inherent to the democratic deficit of the European Union.

The day will be moderated by Vicent Marzà, Compromís deputy in the Corts Valencianes, and three prominent speakers will address the topic. Maylis Rossberg, a member of the Danish minority in Germany and candidate for the Presidency of the European Union for the European Free Alliance, will bring her unique perspective on the need to strengthen citizen representation and participation in the EU. For her part, Lorena de Lacalle, president of the European Free Alliance, will share her ideas on how to overcome democratic obstacles to build a more inclusive and transparent EU. Finally, Carlos Corrochano, spokesperson for International Policies at Sumar and advisor to Yolanda Díaz at the Ministry of Labor, will offer a practical vision on how the EU can improve its internal democracy and its global influence.

"This initiative has the support of various allied political forces, which demonstrates the position of Més-Compromís as a European and state reference for transformative social policies," said Agustí Espí, secretary of the local group, who was very happy to host the talk in Dénia. "We are sure that it will be a very enriching and informative day with which we will encourage debate and action on fair, social and green policies, and we encourage citizens to participate."

Comments
  1. Luis says:

Do we need all these people? I do not think so.

  2. Ignacio says:

For citizens to be able to exercise our right to vote in a democratic manner, it is an essential condition that political parties present their electoral program and stick to it. Enough of skipping the electoral programs and once you have the vote, do whatever you want. That is not Democratic, that is defrauding their voters and the entire society. You can start talking about this,

  3. progress says:

    Long live progress

  4. Caesar says:

I don't know if it will be a sweet moment for you. The politicians of the left as a whole have been left aside as traitors, as thieves and scoundrels. Do you think they have any interest for the citizens of Denia as well as for the rest of Spain and even less so in Europe? Do not bother. Thanks for letting me know though.

  5. Despite Manuel says:

You have absolutely zero commitments in Spain and Europe. Worse now, thanks to their amnestied coup sponsors, they will once again receive money from the north. More autocratic populist ideology to tame once free citizens. Sectarian use of this city council platform as usual
