The Provincial Court of Alicante has ruled that the two agents of the Dénia National Police accused of robbing homes where they had already suffered robberies, and thus was reported to the authorities, will be disqualified for one year and nine months. According to the newspaper Levante, one of them is also sentenced to one year and three months in prison, and the second to almost five years with the sum of their sentences. However, their partners, also accused of receiving the stolen objects, have been acquitted by assuming that they did not know the illegal origin of these.
The two national agents assigned to the Dénia police station appropriated different objects between 2014 and 2016 as a result of their interventions in complaints of theft and other crimes, objects that they incorporated into their assets or sold to third parties.
In addition, they also faced crimes of fraud by simulating traffic accidents, demonstrating these insurance frauds. In the same way, one of the defendants is charged with a crime for revealing secret data from police bases in order to carry out personal inquiries.
As for the robberies, they are accused of participating in up to six in homes and vehicles that were parked on public roads. However, they do not rule out that they could be involved in a much higher number than was known during the trial. The victims were mostly foreign tourists.
I agree with the previous comment, justice in this country is shameful, what an example of a police force, the same police force had to disqualify them for life, for any public function.
Disabled 1 year and 9 months? They should be sentenced to not be able to return to the National or local Police or anything that has to do with that, shame on the laws of this country, shame, the people whose duty it is to protect citizens must be totally clean, no background, much less that they have been in prison, freaking out... so it is normal that people do not feel calm or with the police
