Improvements in the fish area of the Mercat de Dénia will allow tenders up to two new stops

04 December 2017 - 12: 28

Those who have spent Monday on the Mercat de Denia will have noticed that work has begun in the area of fish sales. The councilor of markets, Javier Scotto, has explained that it is about redistribution works of the electricity meters that will allow, once they are finalized, to tender two fish and shellfish stalls.

The work has started today, Monday December 4, because there is no sale of fish. Tomorrow, Tuesday will be paralyzed to allow normal sale in the area and on Wednesday, 6, which is a holiday, will be resumed. The first phase of the works consists in the creation of a partition, after which a phase of the Market counters will be installed, now all in the same place.

Once the tabulation is completed, the space will be measured and the fish sales counter will be tendered in one or two stops. Currently this space is unused and this work is intended to provide a technical and functional improvement of the area. Scotto hopes that by next summer the new stops can be awarded and enter an operation.

These works are part of the delimitation of the area of meters that also affects the office area and will last for two weeks. As reported by the City Council, these works will not affect the normal functioning of the market.
