More than 600 school participated in the XI Bicycle Campaign

Driver Education department of the local police in Denia has developed during the month of May the XI Bicycle Campaign in schools Denia, La Xara and Jesus Pobre.

A total of 620 schoolchildren from the Marist, Alfa & Omega schools, Sacred heart, Paidos, Cervantes, Montgó, Pou de la Muntanya, Vessanes and Raquel Payá from Dénia, the La Xara school and the Pare Pere de Jesús Pobre school.

The activity is mainly aimed at students of 5.º of Primary, although in the cases of La Xara and Jesús Pobre participated in the activity all the schoolchildren of each center.

The bicycle campaign is aimed at improving road safety through education and behavioral change since the start of the activity as conductor, showing positive and responsible and respect for other drivers attitudes.

The main objectives sought are to provide adequate knowledge of this means of transport for responsible use and without risk, raise awareness of the potential danger involved in driving bicycles, to publicize the rules and signs, awareness of the importance of using hull, develop positive driving habits and instill respect for pedestrians.

Under the direction of agent Manuel Moreno Mas, the students have practiced the correct riding your bicycle on mobile playground of the local police in Denia, including road markings, vertical signs and traffic lights, simulating streets, avenues and squares with rotational direction . In addition, each participant received a diptych with the rules of driving bicycles.
