Around 1.300 people signed up last Sunday in the I Solidarity Walk organized by the Amunt Against Cancer association that took place along the coast of Dénia, ending at the beach of Les Rotes.
Men, women, boys and girls of all ages, some with their pets, flooded the solidarity tour, wearing the shirt they got with the inscription. The president of Amunt, Isabel Llorca, was excited about the great response that this first call, which encourages the association to move forward with the activities and to think about the second edition of the walk.
The good weather accompanied in an emotional day in which the solidarity gathered the participants in a festive atmosphere and of memory to those who fight against cancer, showing them, once again, that they are not alone.
The benefits of this solidarity action will be used to help cancer patients, working with a comprehensive approach to the different dimensions of the disease. And all this is done through the Social Services departments of the Marina Alta, with whom they already work to assess the needs of cancer patients in the region.
