The UNED centers of Dénia and Benidorm have organized, once again, the solidarity event "1 book x 1 kilo" on the occasion of International Book Day which is celebrated on April 23 in Spain. The initiative will be the XII edition for UNED Dénia and the XI for UNED Benidorm, which will organize the event on Friday, April 26.
In the associated center of Dénia, the event "1 book x 1 Kilo" in its twelfth edition, will begin at 10:00 in the morning and will continue uninterruptedly until 20:00 p.m., at the entrance of the House of Culture where The University is headquartered.
In order to carry out this event throughout the day, we are seeking the collaboration of volunteers who participate in the assembly and disassembly of the stands, on the one hand, and on the other, to serve those who visit the event, mainly girls and boys, and finish with the organization of the food with the volunteers of the Dénia Solidarity Table.
To participate as a volunteer you can contact the secretariat of the Dénia center at 96 578 17 54. But the most important participation is the solidarity exchange on the day of the event by contributing a kilo of any non-perishable food or personal hygiene products, in exchange for a book. In this way, we contribute to the dissemination of culture among the population, and promote solidarity collaboration with the most needy people.
All food collected will be delivered to people in need through the Corazón Exprés de Altea Charitable Association.
