Ten years ago, in a discreet but firm way, the Ludai association was born. Under the motto "Struggling to give them a future of equality" they began to offer therapeutic resources to families with children with some type of need, and a few years later they managed to be recognized by the Generalitat Valenciana as a Center for Child Development and Early Care (CDIAT) .
From 2012 the association manages this Center, which currently serves 80 families with children from 0 to 6 years. But when they grow up, the resources that are still needed are over. That is why now Ludai's fight is going to focus on getting the SAT (Service of Early Attention), which can serve users from 6 to 16 years.
The psychologist Mayte Cabrera is now in charge of the association as the new president, and she is very clear that this is the objective to achieve. For the new president, "This is a good time to start building it", since the 80 families that are currently users of the CDIAT may need, when the children reach the age of six, the services of the SAT.
The efforts will focus, from now on, on fighting to get that service. The first step to take is to raise awareness about the need of the SAT in the region. Next, contact public institutions to share with them that resource gap that currently exists for users from 6 to 16 years. In short, the path that the association already made before being recognized as a Center for Child Development and Early Care (CDIAT).
For this he has surrounded himself with a great team of people linked to the association, which could not miss Jessica Romero, alma mater of the association that he has presided over during his ten years of history. Along with them, familiar faces that have already been part of the board of the association and new ones that have been linked in some way to the work of Ludai these years.
As Mayte Cabrera says, "Ludai is being reborn". Now begins a new and exciting stage in which they have, as for a decade, with the support of citizens. Now, in addition to the desire to fight, they have ten years of experience behind them that guarantee their ability to respond to the needs of children with specific needs.
