The City of Dénia, through the council of mobility, is analyzing these days the different ordinances existing at national level on the use of electric bicycles or personal mobility vehicles, whose use has been significantly extended in the city in recent months .
The area councilor, Javier Scotto, explained that these are vehicles that do not need a license to circulate, but an amendment ordinance is being worked out to organize the traffic of these vehicles, which will determine where this type of vehicle can circulate. Although we are still working on this modification, which will be carried out in the coming months, Scotto announced that one of the points will be the obligation to wear a helmet to travel around the city of Dénia.
These clarifications were made after the question of Sergio Benito, spokesperson for Citizens in Dénia, about the proliferation of these vehicles in the municipality, which are rented during the summer.
