Memories brought by the waves: more nostalgic garbage

January 28 from 2020 - 09: 57

Last week a large group of heroic volunteers, distributed among different calls, left their tasks after witnessing the onslaught of the storm against the coast of Dénia and what it left for the memory in the beaches. Loaded with bags and eager to collaborate, they toured different points of the coast to remove everything they found in their path, filling bags and bags with selected and separated garbage.

Also among the bleak landscape they found something more bleak yet: death. Hundreds of animals from the sea lay on the shore after being rejected by it and its bravery.

But what else was left for the memory on the beach? Well, just that, memories. Several product packages appeared that years ago were withdrawn from the market or whose packaging is far from today from which it floated to Dénia.

As if it were an immense time machine, the sea took Wells' witness to spit pieces of forgotten decades into our faces. Forgotten ... at sea, as only the human being knows, hiding what he does not want under the neighbor's carpet, although this leads to an inevitable extinction of thousands of species.

Motor oil boats of the nineties, a pineapple yogurt that was marketed in the sixties and even visits for nothing desired, the only ones that should be received, from garbage from other borders.

Now the sea rests, but it is impossible to go back to sleep the same way knowing that you are only waiting for the next storm to bring to light all our shame and that only some volunteers will have the dignity to collect them. His, yours and mine.

Man I do not think that the president of the government is to blame for the storm, he will be guilty of other things but of this, against nature, nothing can be done.
