The opening of the exhibition will take place on February 1 at 19:00 p.m. 48 Moments in the History of Dénia, an artistic exhibition created by Miguel Mairena, which will run until the 24th of the same month.

"Reading books and articles prompted me to artistically express some moments of our past," says the author of this immense work. The exhibition will consist of 48 paintings in Din A3 format, accompanied by descriptive texts, which seek to portray different significant episodes in the history of Dénia. Each work captures an emblematic moment, offering visitors a visual and narrative perspective of the place's trajectory. "From its beginning with the emergence of my beloved Montgó," says Mairena, "until the civil war of 1936."

In addition, the exhibition will include a moving tribute to seven outstanding personalities from Dénia during the 20th century. These honorees will be remembered through seven paintings, each accompanied by a global text that highlights their contributions and legacy in the city.

At the end of the exhibition, a special ceremony will be held in which the originals of the works will be delivered to the relatives of six of those honored, considering that some of these characters are no longer with us. Likewise, a personal delivery will be made to the seventh honoree who will be present during the event.

The exhibition can be visited between February 1 and 24, Monday to Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 14:00 p.m. and from 17:00 p.m. to 21:00 p.m., and on Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 13:30 p.m. House of Culture Denia.
