Juan Chabás's writings are rescued by the Banco Santander Foundation

"Exception witness" is the title that's biographer Juan Chabàs (Denia, 1900-Havana 1954) and director of the Cervantes Institute in Budapest, Javier Pérez Bazo, he has given the work that recovers the writings of the poet, novelist, critic and Dianense writer, a character whose work, according to the author, is "fundamental in Spanish historiography".

This selection includes the best literature related to the generation of 27 chabas articles, and puts an end also to fame jinx Juan Chabàs who persecuted throughout his life.

Friend of Dámaso, Diego, Zubiri, Bores, Giménez Caballero, and assisted by the teaching of Pardo Bazán or Ortega y Gasset, his solid training and style made him the great renovator of the Spanish critics of his time and a witness essential of his time.

Pérez Bazo believes that chabas "He was one of the great writers of the twentieth century but he had the bad fortune that in front of him were Cernuda, Alberti or Ortega".
