School best known marine biodiversity through a series of talks

The 6th grade and 1st ESO students from the Marist, Pou de la Muntanya, Cervantes, Montgó, Paidos, Llebeig and Raquel Payà and institutes historian and number 3 chabas are these days immersed in Mediterranean marine biodiversity.

And they do it thanks to the cycle of talks "La Mar de Dénia", which from 2 to February 20 is taking place in these educational centers by the personnel in charge of the surveillance service of the marine reserve of Cap de Sant Antoni.

The talks provide information about the marine reserve of Cap de Sant Antoni, the main species that inhabit the seabed and the types of cetaceans are sighted from our shores, with special emphasis on the copies of fin whales that pass through our waters in spring and summer.

Also it explained to schoolchildren what to do in case you find a turtle or whale beached and how they are treated specimens found in the Ark of Mar del Oceanogràfic of Valencia.
