November 27 from 2014 - 13: 19

The board of directors of the Circle of Entrepreneurs of the Marina Alta has agreed to request a new meeting with the Town Planning Councilor to clarify various doubts about the General Urban Planning Plan proposed by the municipal government.

Federation agrees with the outline raised by Vicente Chelet and appreciates the political will to unblock the current urban situation. However, it considers absolutely necessary a new meeting with the mayor and get answers to questions arising out of the first.

Doubts have focused on a crucial section for the future of the city, such as urban and demographic growth. As explained by Vicente Chelet, the plan does not allow any type of soil requalification, given that it is merely structural. Therefore, it only affects 800.000 m2 of consolidated land that exists within the urban area without building. And, applying the formulas established by the Ministry in this regard, this means that Dénia will grow up to a population of 57.000 inhabitants from here to the year 2030.

At this point the question whether employers' association has taken into account that Dénia is a tourist town, which means you can not apply the same criteria as other municipalities in terms of population growth.

The board questioned if the growth rate determines this plan is sufficient for a city that has tourism as the main engine of its economy. And, he notes that census data part are not entirely true as there are a large number of people occupying tourist residences, in and out of season, without being enrolled in it.

doubts have emerged about the deadlines to develop a detailed plan and the minimum requirements which must contain the PGOU regarding soil classification, the network of general systems, flood-prone areas and how to overcome these circumstances.

It has welcomed the political will to move forward, but employers qualify the commitment to this plan, which does not even provide an industrial area, leaving parked the truly important issue Dénia: defining the city model.
