The beach of the Punta del Raset de Dénia welcomed this Friday afternoon the release of three turtles that in recent months had been caught by fishing boats in different parts of the Valencian Mediterranean.

Hundreds of people, mostly boys and girls, gathered in this release, where they could see the three individuals returning from the sand to the water to resume their marine routine.

The turtles were baptized as Dénia, Raset y Mediterranean coast, and they have spent around two months in the ARCA of the Oceanogràfic Sea of Valencia. After being recovered, this Friday they returned to their home before the watchful eye of the youngest.

The ARCA del Mar specialists explained the problems that each of them has suffered, and the Councilor for the Environment, Josep Crespo, warned of the dangers posed by plastics in the sea.
